Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of 7Maintain. Effective date: 20 July 2026.

Plain terms for a practical product. These set out what 7Maintain does, how billing works, who owns what, and — importantly — the limits of what the software can and cannot do for your compliance. Read section 7 carefully.

1. Who these terms are between

These terms are an agreement between you — the organisation using the service ("you", "the customer") — and Seven Twenty Degrees (Pty) Ltd (registration number 2023/212025/07), the maker of 7Maintain ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using 7Maintain, you agree to these terms. If you are accepting on behalf of a company, you confirm you are authorised to bind it.

2. Definitions

  • Service / 7Maintain — our maintenance and compliance software, including the web app, mobile app and related sites.
  • Organisation — the single business entity or facility your subscription covers.
  • Customer Data — the data you and your team put into or generate in the Service.
  • 7Assistant — the optional AI helper built into the Service.

3. What 7Maintain is

7Maintain is maintenance and compliance management software for plants and facilities. Today it provides: asset registers; a 365-day preventive-maintenance schedule with statutory items flagged; work-order management your team runs from their phones; the equipment registers an auditor asks for; an audit-readiness self-check; parts and stores management; and an optional in-app assistant (7Assistant). We add and change features over time.

4. Your account and responsibilities

  • Give us accurate account information and keep it up to date.
  • Keep your login credentials and PINs secure; you are responsible for activity under your account.
  • Use the Service lawfully.
  • Employee data: you confirm you have the right to load your employees' personal information into the Service and that you have informed those employees as your law requires. For that data you are the responsible party under POPIA and we act as your operator, as described in our Privacy Policy.

5. Subscriptions and billing

The Service is offered on the following plans, billed per organisation:

PlanPriceIncludes
FreeR0Up to 3 users, 10 assets, 20 work orders per month, limited storage — core maintenance workflow only (no paid features).
StandardR899 / monthUnlimited users, assets and work orders; the paid feature set.
ProR3,499 / monthEverything in Standard plus the advanced procurement & oversight modules.
  • "Per organisation" means per site/facility. A subscription covers one organisation. If you operate more than one facility, each is a separate subscription. (This clarifies any "per site" wording in our marketing — the two mean the same thing.)
  • Prices are quoted excluding VAT unless stated otherwise; where we are not VAT-registered, invoices are issued as pro-forma.
  • Payment is processed by Paystack. Your card details are handled by Paystack and do not reach our servers.
  • We may change prices on reasonable prior notice; changes take effect from your next billing cycle.
  • Onboarding / setup (data import and configuration) is quoted per facility based on its size and is not a published, fixed price.

6. Your data — ownership and export

You own your Customer Data. We process it only to provide the Service, in line with the Privacy Policy. You may request an export of your data; we currently assist with this manually (there is no self-service bulk export yet) and will provide it in a common format within a reasonable time.

7. Compliance — what the software does and does not do

Please read this carefully. 7Maintain assists with maintenance planning and compliance record-keeping. It does not guarantee regulatory compliance, audit success, equipment safety, or legal adequacy.

You remain solely responsible for your own compliance, for verifying statutory requirements against the current law and your certification scheme, and for the safety of your operations and equipment.

Register templates, statutory citations and compliance references in the Service are provided in good faith as general guidance. They are not legal advice and must be confirmed against the current regulations and your auditor, Approved Inspection Authority or competent person. Some referenced standards (for example certain SANS or BRCGS texts) are paywalled and are not reproduced in full. Intervals and requirements change; treat every citation as a starting point to verify, not a guarantee.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for audit outcomes, penalties, fines, or equipment failure.

8. 7Assistant (the in-app helper)

  • It proposes; a human decides. 7Assistant suggests — it does not approve work, sign off records, or change your data on its own.
  • Its suggestions may be wrong or incomplete. You must review its output before acting on it.
  • Do not rely on it as a substitute for competent professional judgement — engineering, safety, legal, veterinary or medical.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to: use the Service unlawfully; attempt to access other customers' data or breach the Service's security; scrape or overload the Service; upload malicious code; misrepresent your identity or affiliation; or use the Service's content or outputs to train competing models. You are responsible for your users' compliance with these terms.

10. Availability

There is no formal uptime guarantee (SLA) at these plan tiers. We make reasonable efforts to keep the Service available and secure. There may be planned maintenance windows and occasional unplanned downtime; we aim to keep disruption to a minimum.

11. Intellectual property

We own the 7Maintain software, its design and content, and the 7Maintain™ trade mark. During your subscription you receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service — you do not acquire the software itself or any rights in it. You keep ownership of your Customer Data.

12. Suspension and termination

  • You may cancel at any time; access continues to the end of your paid period.
  • We may suspend or terminate access for non-payment or breach of these terms, with notice where reasonable.
  • After termination: you will have a reasonable window to export your data (we will assist), after which we will delete or de-identify your data on request, subject to records we must retain by law (see the Privacy Policy). As noted, deletion is currently actioned manually by our team.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • our total liability for any claim arising out of or connected with the Service is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim;
  • we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for any loss of profit, revenue, data or goodwill.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be excluded by law. The Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 may apply to smaller customers and gives rights that these terms do not override.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and the South African courts have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them or from your use of the Service.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The current version, with its effective date, will live at this URL; continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
